So I was sitting in my psych class right and I got a bit bored so I ended up switching my tabs to check some football highlights and I realise something: There are some players who are impossible to recreate. Now I don't mean Messi or Ronaldo, they were out of the world during their era and had been consistent for way too long to even be compared. I'm talking about Neymar, Dinho, Ozil etc.

I started off by watching Messi's highlights and its unbelievable, the things he did but I feel like what he did, mostly the dribbling, was still achievable by someone if they have been playing football since the age of 5 or so, take Brahim Diaz for example. But its the consistency and the passes, vision and shooting along with the dribbling that made Messi the GOAT so we are gonna leave that aside. I switched to…

A few more players who genuinely deserve a post are Kyle Walker and Toni Kroos. Walker being 33 and ABSOLUTELY POCKETING Vinicius was outrageous, whatever he was told to do by Pep, he did it perfectly; Walker is most probably the only player at the moment who can stop that Madrid attack from the left.

And Toni Kroos is just so good. “Form is temporary, Class is forever” is something made for Toni Kroos. Dictated the play, perfect passes, hold up play, just pure consistency from the German sniper; my praise honestly falls short.

Carvajal, Valverde, Camavinga and Bellingham genuinely deserve a standing ovation. Carvajal being 32 years old pushed himself beyond his limits and played a 100+ mins while defending Grealish and a fully energy packed Doku. Meanwhile Camavinga and Valverde played an entire 120 mins amazingly, from defending to attacking and transitioning play, they were amazing. Even Bellingham who created the first goal played amazingly for 120 mins and his hold up play up front throughout was purely class for someone that young. Rudiger and Nacho also deserve so much praise for their work as well.

The club of miracles did it again, Real Madrid beat Man city in pens to reach the semi finals for the 12th time in 14 years. And as much as someone might say that we parked the bus and what not, it was a complete strategical and defensive masterclass by Madrid. They controlled the ball and played it front whenever they needed to and defended amazingly throughout. Although Man city were pushing up more, the ones who were dominating for most of the game were Madrid: not giving shots away, blocking all the crosses and shots, not giving straight opportunities to Man city; purely amazing football to watch for 120 mins.
